Best Creative Work: Sketchup Recreation of Adolf Loos' Villa Muller |
Made for the ARCH1080 course, my building of choice to study was the Villa Muller, Adolf Loos. It features a very interesting staggering of levels, making the sketchup recreation painful to create. The old floor-plans with somewhat vague dimensioning also made things difficult.
Great Architecture: National Library of China, Beijing |
Found somewhere online, the layout of the interior, combined with the perspective of the photo created an image of architecture that caught my eye. The sheer vastness of the building, and how the levels funnel downwards gives the building a special atmosphere.
Beautiful Original Photo: Rice Paddys in China |
Taken on a holiday in 2019, I thought this photo was particularly striking. It features the rich greenery of the rice paddys, with my friends' yellow raincoats contrasting in the middle ground. They appear tiny in the image, a testament to the work the rice farmers have to achieve. In the background are cable cars, showing how the tourism industry has come all the way to the countrysides of China.
